I know,I haven't been there for ages . ( OK,not for ages,let's say 'for a week' . ) But I was happy that :
-I had done quite good performance on Saturday,at shopping centre opening,
-Cirque du Soleil announced a premiere of their new show,titled 'Amaluna',
-NBC republican debate replaced Fear Factor ( which is worlds silliest TV show ever for me ) on this Monday and we haven't seen innocent people throwing up for money,
-I have bought wonderful 'donut-shape' earrings,
- I have seen that really 'big' names are following me on Twitter .
That was a good week . Really .

D.C.

I have always thought of David Copperfield as a great magician . He was a big inspiration for many people . His shows,broadcasted in early 90's,have often persuaded many then-youngsters to start learning magic . I was actually one of them . I remember the time when I was a little girl,wearing ponytail and glasses with thick lenses,and dreaming about being D.C. While other girls were playing with dolls,I was 'performing magic' in front of the family,dressed up like a,well...circus freak .

What I like the most about him,is his sense of humour and distance to himself and to work . ( just take a look at the 'Slow motion duck' video ! )

The other thing I admire,is the fact that his demonstrations are timeless and immortal . Even now,at the age of advanced technology,they seem to be fresh and still amazing . They were entertaining audience 20 years ago,and they are doing it now . Will they amaze viewers in the next twenty years ? I'm sure they will .

Let's look at his 'Interlude' performance . To be honest,it's not my favourite version of this trick,( for me,Siegfied & Roy's demonstration was more mind-blowing . ) but the music ( Peter Gabriel's 'Lay your hands on me ' ) and the way he perform,makes it really unforgettable . Enjoy .

My inspiration -Sylvie .

I really like Sylvie van der Vaart . She is German-Dutch model and TV presenter,host of 'Let's dance' and judge at 'Das supertalent's judging panel . Also well-known because of her husband,Rafael,former Real Madrid player and representative of Holland national football team . Everytime I see her on TV,I'm amazed by her look . She has got really good sense of style . And she's nice and intelligent too,every episode of 'Das supertalent' proves it . In 2010,Sylvie won her life's biggest battle-a battle with breast cancer . She said in several interwievs,that she is really thanful for her husband,as he was supporting her all the time when she was taking chemo . And he persuaded her to take part in 'Let's dance' TV show and to take off her wig when she was performing in this contest ( to be honest,it's an achievement,because she never wanted anyone to see her bald,even her makeup artists . ) For me,she's a true heroine . She has never gave up,even at the hardest moments of her life . And now she's looking better than before ;) Let's take a look .

Sos and Victoria .

Today I want to show you some videos of Sos and Victoria,one of my favourite magic couples . They are German-Russian-Armenian marriage,who are performing stage magic all around the world . This couple is world-famous because of their version of 'quick change act' . According to Guinness Book of Records,they are the fastest quick change artists the world had ever seen . While performing in China,2011,Victoria changed her clothes 13 times in one minute !

What I want to do in 2012 ? Of course everything connected with magic . I want to perform more on a stage-that's my aim for the next
year . I won't forget about street magic,because showing tricks to strangers is what I like most . In this year,I want to record all of my
street demonstrations and upload them on my YouTube account . I'm sure that 2012 will be a year full of work and training,but it's
good,I'm so excited about it . I always want to develop my illusion skills and be better in it than I am now .

A long story..short .

Yesterday,I thought about an event that was held a couple of years ago in my then-school . It was a competition for students,based on a popular 'Got talent ' show . It's my favourite programme,so I had decided to take part in it . When I stepped into the hall,I saw almost the whole school . They were practising before the contest. After about two hours of watching the contestants ( who were singing,dancing,playing instruments or doing unusual,weird and strange things . ) it was my turn . I stepped onto a stage and started my performance . Everyone was impressed when they saw my version of the 'Zombie ball' illusion . They all were cheering and they gave me standing ovations .
But actually,I was quite shocked when our headteacher announced that I had won the 1st prize .


It wasn't a big event,but it had changed my point of view ,my opinion of my art . I had realised that if I want to be a professional magician,I have to perform more,in front of different audience .


Right now I can quote Fergie fron her song titled 'Glamorous' - 'Damn,It's been a long road,and the industry is cold (...) ' . but I'm happy that my life has gone that way,really .

Introduction .

So,I'm here . And this is my blog . I know that (probably ) nobody will read this or care about what I write,but I decided to start blogging because I wanted to share my passion,my interests with other people .

I'm Ekaterina ( my middle name ),aged 19,Polish-Russian-German (yes,my,let's say 'roots',may look kinda strange,but..anyway ) girl,who seven years ago decided to be a magician . I gave my whole life to the art of illusion and it has became the biggest passion of my life . Although it not always was that good,although I had to stop performing for quite long time,because of studying,I'm very happy with it .
